ROMANTIC MINIATURES

Largely to our dismay, our block is being developed. Hopelessly nondescript luxury co-op buildings are replacing wonderfully overgrown vacant lots that had replaced dilapidated century-old wood and brick buildings, which had literally fallen down. These changes have all taken place over the last twenty-five years, creeping, though during a relatively short space of time.

During this most violent round of change for my block, I propose to install tiny symbols of shameless sentimentality in this place that will from now on, furiously, deny nostalgia daily.
