Overheard
conversations, uninformed observations.
Have you ever said something, and then really thought about what you said…
taken the words away from the sentence and separated them, understanding
them in their most basic form? Realising that what you said isn’t
really what you said at all?
Have you ever looked at an image, thought that you fully understood its
meaning, its content, its people, its colours, shapes and form…
and then found out you were wrong… really very wrong? Then you forgot
the meaning you had created, even though it was real because you had believed
in it?
These images are about the seen and the heard. Re-contextualised and reformed,
pieced together to create a different story, one that you can question,
bring into place the moralistic qualities of society, or the lack of them,
apply the fear enforced upon you by the media, relate to yourself or another,
or just observe without prejudice if you really can. Everything is a gift…
gratefully received or desperately unwanted.
