Eleanor Eichenbaum Eubanks is an artist and independent curator based in New York. She holds a graduate degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2006, she curated Another Place with NURTUREart Gallery & Emerging Curators' Resource Center, in Brooklyn, NY. In 2007, she completed a calendar project, Brief Visits, and co-curated, with Veronica Mijelshon, between to and from, a group exhibition at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey. Her most recent curatorial project was the group exhibition, the tacit object, a re-interpretion of quotidian things, at the Mikhail Zakin Gallery in Demarest, NJ, June 2008. Heather L. Johnson grew up moving from place to place, a process punctuated by dramatic cultural transitions, which inspire her fascinations with movement, memory, identity and distance, and her current work as an artist. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the California College of Arts and Crafts in San Francisco, and has completed residencies at the McColl Center for Visual Art in Charlotte, NC, and at Winthrop University in South Carolina. She has shown her work around the U.S., in Europe and Japan, and has curated several exhibitions, including Cracks in the Pavement: Gifts in the Urban Landscape, an interactive project featuring site-specific works of art by international artists placed in public locations around the world. She currently lives in Weehawken, NJ.
